Himalayan Organic Mushroom Farm is established on 2014 A.D. with the vision to be an agent of making own country self-reliant through globalizing locally produced goods in international level by utilizing maximizing level of available resources , skills and knowledge and also making noticeable the hidden organic mushroom with medicinal value in reasonable price in local market .With this noble cause, after two years of extensive studies and researches, the team members of the company have decided to turn skills and knowledge gained about the Shittake mushroom into practical and professional forms by cultivating mushrooms . The company has been granted loans from various financial institutions in minimal interest rate and heading ahead with a great vision of effective mobilization of own accumulated capital. The company is fortunate enough to get unconditional support from Dr.Keshari Laxmi Manandhar who is an eminent scientist for Shiitake Mushroom and also executive officer of Center for Agricultural Technology and Training (CATT). She is involving in the company for inspecting the technical and practical parts of this project. The company has acquired extensive knowledge about their international demands during the researches .So it is connecting directly with countries like Japan, Hongkong and Singapore where they are highly demanded for selling & distribution purpose.

About the team

The team of the company comprises of three energetic members who have a vision to globalize agriculture product of Nepal to make it self- reliant by distributing high value mushrooms produced in Nepal in national and international markets. Among them, Mr. Manjesh Kumar Maharjan has been associated with this company by taking complete training about shiitake, Oyster , White Button and Milky mushrooms from Mushroom Research and Training Center , Balambu . Other team members, Mr. Suresh Prasad Shrestha and Mr. Prina Raj Joshi have been trained about Shittake Mushroom from Center for Agricultural Technology and Training (CATT). Apart from that they are working with the scientists and specialists related with production and selling & promotion of these mushrooms. The team has gained complete experiences of production processes and systems by keeping in touch with farmers who has been successfully producing the shiitake mushrooms and also working closely with Center for Agricultural Technology and Training (CATT) which has been major seeds producers of shiitake mushrooms and involving in studies, researches, counseling on the subject of shiitake mushrooms from a long time . The teams members are also utilizing academic knowledge earned in own country and sound knowledge of information & technology in this project. So with all these preparations and experiences, the team is confident that they are more competitive and capable than their contemporaries.
